The churchshift otherwise known as church unusual is the church’s initiative to take church to the people. This move was inspired by the book written by Pastor Sunday Adelaja of the Embassy of God Church in Kiev, Ukraine that goes by the same name-CHURCHSHIFT.
The Churchshift has different arms with capable ministers in charge. There is the Street evangelism unit, Garage/Market Unit, Football field unit, bus evangelism unit, Help the helpless unit, Martha’s Kitchen, Hospital Unit, Hotel Unit, Prison Unit, Counseling unit.
THE STREET EVANGELISM: This unit goes out every Sunday morning before service to preach to people in the neighbourhood.
GARAGE/MARKET UNIT: This unit goes to preach the gospel of Christ to traders and “Jesus boys” on Sunday mornings. Many of these boys have been reconciled with their parents within and outside Lagos after many years of lost contact.
FOOTBALL FIELD UNIT: This is to arrest the heart of some boys who normally use Sunday mornings as time to hone their soccer skills. Our churchshift team go there and preach the word to them. Some of them has since given their lives to Christ.
BUS EVANGELISM: This involves the members of this unit preaching the gospel in commercial buses and sharing life-changing tracts with commuters.
HELP THE HELPLESS: As the name implies, this unit is vested with the responsibility of taking care of destitutes.
MARTHA’S KITCHEN: The church through this unit provide a meal to the less privileged every Sunday. The church aspire to provide at least one meal per day to the less privileged in the foreseeable future.
HOSPITAL UNIT: Every Sunday, members of this unit visit the sick on admission in different private and government hospitals to preach to and pray for them. Testimonies of instant healing and deliverance have been reported. Also as a way of showing love, some members of this unit have contributed to offset the bills of some patients.
HOTELS UNIT: This unit help “Jesus girls” to come to the knowledge of Christ through preaching the gospel and also to give up the bad way of life they live through personal conviction. To the glory of God many of these girls have shun this business and have found other suitable employment or means of living. Some who were innocently brought from their village with promise of job but have been helped to travel back to their families.
COUNSELING UNIT: The few people who have taken the ultimate bold step to come to the church meet with our experienced counselors and have been led to Christ.
Buses are available every Sunday morning to convey people from garages, Football field e.t.c to church for service
